The season of Summer is upon us. The time that the world slows down and counts us all. The possibility that summertime holds is immense for the growth of the human soul. It is when you pack up a bag ,grab one or three of your besties and hit the open road of this vast land that we are so fortunate to have. It is a taste of freedom that can not get from anywhere else. It is where sunsets are breathtaking and the scenery you will never forget. Find your spirit. 

Beaches. Sand between your toes and a suntan that does not fade until fall. Looking out onto the ocean and realizing you are but a spec on this planet and if you go too far out in the ocean  sharks will treat you just like a spec. Num. Num. LOL.

If just having a staycation is just what you need, stay right on at home on those hot lazy summer days. My favorite activity for these days is to crack the window just so, find a baseball game on the tv and settle yourself down for one of the best naps ever. The sound of grass being cut and the smell spells summertime and in the background you hear the commentators spilling the latest play and you drift off for your long summers nap. 

All of these ideas whisper Summer. I am ready!! 

GO GROW YOUR SOUL, YOU WILL BE THE BETTER FOR IT! 

I will start off by saying if the title offends you , I apologize. Not really, It is the first saying that comes to mind  when this holiday rolls around. I don't know why that I have had been blessed with a mouth like a sailor. This came about while in high school-that faithful day it was like a flower bloomed inside me, one that smelled of obscenities  

I can not believe we are coming in hot already at Mother's Day ! TIME, Slow your fast a** down. Seriously. It's not attractive. Mother's Day!! The ladies that shape the world. Give us love when we need it, rubs the temples of our heads when our head aches. The only person that looks in our eyes and sees herself. I hope you have made her proud and honored her in the up most way she deserves every day. Guys,  you are the light of your mother's eye, I hope you love her with all your heart because you will probably end up marrying a woman just like her, same hair color and all. These two women will fight for your attention forever. Your mom however should win hands down and if the significant other gets upset just remember she did not give birth to you! PERIOD.  Yes, my only child is male and I birthed him so girls , you are second!  Haha! 

Alright girls! The Mother-Daughter relationship is a complicated one full of ups and downs, basically because us as females, even at an early age for some reason think we can do better than the beautiful soul that gave us life and refuse to listen to the probably sound advice our mothers gave us and IN TURN we have to go around our asses to get to our elbows and if we would had just given thought and listened in the first place our travel time would had been cut in half. Listen to your MOMs! Don't talk back even if you think you are right, because if you give her to hard of a time you will have a child 10 fold your behavior and you will all of a sudden, POOF! YOU HAVE TURNED INTO YOUR MOTHER! It happens and you should be scared because it comes quickly. Just nod your head in the up and down direction for yes, Hug your moms every chance you get. Be respectful. Go to Paris with her! Come get your hair done together, not the same as Paris but I do have French Radio Cafe channel on Pandora and we could bring the vibe and I know we got the hair! Love your Mom you only get one. Sometimes you get a Step-Monster, hands down Moms in my opinion,  wins  hands down.  I had step-monster and I was not a fan. Moms are better.  She gave you your gorgeous hair!  DO something awesome for your MOTHER she deserves it! She tolerated you all of your teenage years!

I am anticipating that this coming year is going to be fantastic! I know that I am reaching considering the last 4 have been just plain ick! This coming year ends in my favorite number and the number my dad always wore on the back of his ball jersey. Michael Jordan's number on the back of his jersey is 23 -that should say something and everything!  The number 3 and my Dad and Michael Jordan I am bringing out all the big players, Not to mention that one of the best years of my life was 23. For all of humanity, let 2023 be tolerable, kind, quiet and amazing for all of us that need it! If there are any of you that have forgotten to take care of yourself, maybe because you have been drowning in depression, money troubles and just plain ol' every damn thing we are right there with you! Let's make this year BETTER! 2023 I need you to kick ass!! 

We at HAIR BOMB SALON wanted to wish all of our clients HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  I hope that going into this holiday  we let go of everything that has plagued, worried and stressed us and the twinkle of the lights from the tree warm our hearts to bestow kindness to those who might not know where to look or find the warmth in themselves. I have noticed something as I have gotten to be older and viewing the state of the world today we need a mass amount of light and warmth that could only come from the sliver of light that rages from all the darkness that surrounds us, "ONLY WHEN WE ARE BRAVE ENOUGH TO EXPLORE THE DARKNESS WILL WE DISCOVER THE INFINITE POWER OF OUR LIGHT." I do believe that we have all explored the darkness for a few years and it is time to find the light that has been left undiscovered and step away from the darkness-This is what I am wishing for each of you this Christmas. All the light you can hold and the power not to give up on each other. I remember as a child being told that love and kindness was the only thing that could drive away hate. I have been a firm believer of that very thing even though I have fell short many times. I still believe that Christmas Miracles exist and sometimes that could just be a thought to move in the direction as a collective toward the kindness that everyone needs. Merry Christmas!  Rebecca says that no one has ever made her feel has if her hair was one of her best features until coming to Hair Bomb Salon.
